Talfiq Bridging the Gap among Muslims

Are you one of the Muslims who are practicing different mazhab (school of thought)? If yes, I am very sure you would like the book entitled "Talfiq: Beramal Dengan Pelbagai Mazhab, written by youn scholar from International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Ustaz Maslee Malik. This book discusses about 'talfiq' – practicing different mazhab.

According to Mahathir Mohammad, our ulama' world-wide met at Kuala Lumpur just this month to talk about the "Muslim Unity". The ulama' identified many factors that lead to disunity between and among Muslim communities, one of them is the mazhab problem.

Understanding the concept of talfiq written by young aliem who is expert in Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence), Ustaz Maslee Malik, I found no problem of practicing the talfiq if ever Muslim understands fiqh. According to him talfiq is accepted by most of the contemporary ulama' world-wide.

Understanding the talfiq is not only a matter of appreciation toward different mazhab, but also a practicing ibadah in a most comfortable way with correct procedure, in an appropriate time and place. And it is strictly following the teaching of Hadith and Qur'an.

If Muslims are divided because of the misunderstanding in the mazhab, so talfiq is a bridge that could connect the Muslim ummah. God has strictly prohibited division in the Ummah.

The Glorious Qur'an says:
"As for those who divide their religion and break up into sects, thou hast no part in them in the least: Their affair is with Allah: He will in the end tell them the truth of all that they did." [Al-Qur'an 6:159]

Do Prophet Joseph, Nur Misuari and Anwar Ibrahim Shared the same Fate?

Almost all historians believe that "history repeat itself". Today, the history of the Prophet like Joseph is somewhat repeating to the fate of some Muslims leaders. Allow me to mention some of the proof.

The history of Prophet Yusuf or Joseph (a.s.) are full of hatred, pride, deception, intrigue, cruelty and most especially jealous.

When Prophet Joseph (a.s.) relates his dream to his father, his father warning him not to mention to his brothers, they might get jealous to him.
[Of these stories mention] when Joseph said to his father, "O my father, indeed I have seen [in a dream] eleven stars and the sun and the moon; I saw them prostrating to me." (Qur'an 12:4)
His father said;
He said, "O my son, do not relate your vision to your brothers or they will contrive against your plan. Indeed Satan, to man, is a manifest enemy. (Qur'an 12:5)
Joseph's brothers thrown him into the well.
Said a speaker among them, "Do not kill Joseph but throw him into the bottom of the well; some travelers will pick him up - if you would do [something]." (Qur'an 12:10)
Then Caravan helped Joseph and sold him to Egypt.
And there came a company of travelers; then they sent their water drawer, and he let down his bucket. He said, "Good news! Here is a boy." And they concealed him, [taking him] as merchandise; and Allah knew of what they did. (Qur'an 12:19)
When he was in Egypt the beautiful Chief Minister's wife, Zulaikah. She was obsessed to Joseph’s good looking face.
And she, in whose house he was, sought to seduce him. She closed the doors and said, "Come, you." He said, "[I seek] the refuge of Allah. Indeed, he is my master, who has made good my residence. Indeed, wrongdoers will not succeed." (Qur'am 12:23)
Finally, Prophet Joseph (s.a) who is victim of Zulaika's seduction was jailed.
"Prison was Joseph's third test. During this period Allah blessed him with an extra ordinary gift: the ability to interpret dreams". (Imam Ibn Khatit, The History of the Prophet)
Do Nur Misuari and Anwar Ibrahim shared the same fate with Prophet Joseph?

When Prof. Nur Misuari was dreaming to introduce change in Bangsamoro homeland as MNLF Chairman, Governor of the ARMM and Chairman of SPCPD, his commanders and comrades were splitted away from him. Is this jealous or what? Only Misuari and his comrades can explain. I have no rights to blame them.

Like Joseph, Misuari was also imprisoned for the case he was not supposed to be punished.

The case of Anwar Ibrahim is still hanging as of today, and Anwar claiming he was not guilt. He was also dreaming to reform Malaysia during his reign as Deputy Prime Minister. He was imprisoned by the Malaysian Government during Mahathir's regime.

But in the case of Prophet Joseph (a.s.) he was able to proved his case. God said in the Holy Qur'an.
[Joseph] said, "It was she who sought to seduce me." And a witness from her family testified. "If his shirt is torn from the front, then she has told the truth, and he is of the liars. But if his shirt is torn from the back, then she has lied, and he is of the truthful". So when her husband saw his shirt torn from the back, he said, "Indeed, it is of the women's plan. Indeed, your plan is great. Joseph, ignore this. And, [my wife], ask forgiveness for your sin. Indeed, you were of the sinful. (Qur'an 12:26-29)

Today both Nur Misuari and Anwar Ibrahim are already released from the prisons like Prophet Joseph after he had interpreted the dreams. The loyalists of both Nur Misuari and Anwar Ibrahim are still supporting them and gain new supporters from the local people and foreigners. The two contemporary Muslim reformists from Mindanao and Malaysia are still breathless on what they believe reformation. Can they be able to prove their dreams like Prophet Joseph (a.s.) did?

Joseph (a.s.) rewarded by God.
And thus We established Joseph in the land to settle therein wherever he willed. We touch with Our mercy whom We will, and We do not allow to be lost the reward of those who do good. (Qur'an 12:56)
At the end Joseph (a.s.) was successful and his brothers came to him with repentance.

What will be the ending of the stories of these two reformists from Southeast Asia?

Politic of today is also like during the time of Prophet Joseph's, full of jealousy, abhorrence, brutality, conspiracy, hypocrisy and terror. Indeed, only sincere can survive.

The Queen Bee

'And thy Lord taught the bee to build its cells in hills, on trees and in (men's) habitations..... there issues from within their bodies a drink of varying colours, wherein is healing for mankind. Verily this is a Sign for those who give thought'. (Quran 16:68-69)

As stated in the Qur'an, honey has a feature of 'healing men'. This scientific fact was also confirmed by the scientists who assembled during the World Apiculture Conference held on 20-26 September 1993 in China: "During the Conference, treatments with honey derivatives were discussed. Especially the American scientists expressed that honey, royal jelly, pollen and propolis (bee resin) had the property of curing many illnesses. A Romanian doctor stated that he tried honey on cataract patients, and 2002 out of his 2094 patients recovered completely. Polish doctors also informed that bee resin helped t cure many diseases like haemorrhoid, skin problems, gynaecological diseases and many others." (Hurriyet Newspaper, 19 October 1993)

The Prophet (PBUH) said:

'Honey is a remedy for every illness and the Qur'an is a remedy for all illness of the mind, therefore I recommend to you both remedies, the Qur'an and honey.' (Bukhari)

Do you know that the head of the bees is Queen? The Queen bee! The most important bee! This is the most interesting part I found in my research as far as the "bee's leadership" is concern.

Every bee colony needs a queen bee. Out of all of the thousands of bees that inhabit a typical colony, only the queen can reproduce. Consequently, her death is a major event. To ensure the colony's survival, the worker bees will work to have a replacement ready for the queen if she is old or is not producing an adequate amount of eggs. This process is called supercedure. Although queen bees can live for 5 to 7 years, younger queens lay more eggs. So, in bee colonies managed by a human beekeeper, the supercedure process may be induced by deliberately injuring the queen. If the queen dies unexpectedly, the workers will raise emergency queens by switching worker bee larvae to a diet of royal jelly, a special food that turns female bee larvae into queen bees. In managed hives, the beekeeper will often provide a new queen instead of allowing emergency queens to claim the throne, as they are often smaller and not as productive. (Alison Kroulek)

If the Queen is the head, then what is the relation to the ayat below?

"Verily this is a Sign for those who give thought (people who think)". (Quran 16:69)

What is the relation to human leadership (caliphate)?

Sunnah Tullah: The Right Formula for the Muslim Victory

The thirst and love of listening knowledge from a scholar is a habit I could not miss in my life. What more if you are listening to famous Shiek Yusuf Al-qaradarwi – one of the great Muslim scholars of the 21st century. Every word he delivers absorbs to your heart. Every word is full of wisdom. His speech would connect his heart to every heart of the listeners. His bitter remarks are sweet to your ears.

In December 20, 2009, at Masjid Sha Alam, Selangor, Malaysia, I attended the Al-qardawi's lecture about the importance of the Hijrah. It was attended by more than 4,000 people, according to the organizers. This scholar from Egypt discussed the history and the significance of the Hijrah, the victory of Islam, the mosque of the prophet, and the 'Suk' super market in Madina, the reconciliation of the Khaus and Kharaj, the brotherhood of Muhajirin and Ansar, and many more. It took many steps before the Messenger of God (saw) and his companions gain the victory. At the end of his lecture he expressed his hope on the 'unity of ummah' and prayed for the victory of the Muslim mujahideen.

Prof. Yusuf Al-qadarawi in his book entitled "Islam Ekstrem, Suatu Analisis dan Cabaran Terhadap Kebangkitan Islam", translated by Darul Nu'man Publication based in Malaysia, explain about the creation of human being. He quoted the Qur'an 23:14.

"Then We made the Nutfah into a clot, then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then We made out the little lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought it forth as another creation. So blessed Allah, the Best creator."

How great is God! He is the Best creator. According to Prof. Alqaradawi, God shows us how He created you. It was according to proper steps. This is 'sunnah tullah'.

I agree to Prof. Alqaradawi research’s that young Muslim of today is in a hurry to achieve the victory. Anwar Ibrahim also expressed that such reformation will not be done overnight. There is a need for you and me to plant the seed of sabar in our heart. In fact, the above verse God shows us how to plan.

After the baby is born he is fed by his mother, then slowly grows until he can already crawl, finally he becomes a strong man. Islam also starts from a simple and moderate Aqeedah, then God, sending slowly the obligation in the simplest way, from fardhu to other fardhu, gradually declaring unlawful thing, according to Alqaradawi. Until Islam the ayat below declared.

"… I have perfected your religion for you, and have chosen for you Islam (submission) as your religion…" (Qur'an 5:3)

There are groups of young Muslim who are in a hurry to protect the dignity of Islam, and to reform the ummah. They are actually day dreaming according to Alqaradawi. "They thought they can defeat the 'batil' and strengthen Islam overnight. They can't!" Aliem Alqaradawi strongly opposed.

I still respect Yusuf Alqaradawi's opinion that no one can change something by the best of his mind. Because God already set a formula (sunnah) for ummah. And no one is excuse to this sunnah, he stressed. However, he challenged us to think.

Today, people sacrifices their wealth, time and life for Islam without thinking the proper formula. They are missing something important without even realizing it. Alhamdulilah, Prof. Yusuf Alqaradawi was able to answer this query. According to him, people missed to build up their inner-self. In such a way people can able strengthen their Iman. And he added that Muslim also shall be patience to gain knowledge for the right solution on the recent Muslim dilemma.

We are also expecting an instant solution for our ummah, but that instantaneous solution might harm the objective. Change should start in the heart of every individual.

Omar (ra) was change, after he became caliph of Islam. He was a frontline warrior before and after he embrace Islam. One day he challenge his people to check him if incase he is wrong. Omar (ra) open for public criticism after his heart is surrounded with patience. The great warrior is who can hold his emotion.

Striving fi sabilillah is not only a matter of obligation, but also climbing to highest mountain with confident and extra care. It is not also a matter of giving birth to an infant Muslim community. Indeed, it has something to do with nursing the fetus inside the womb.

Is Fanaticism and Absolutism a Demonstration of Extremism?

Fanaticism had been a trademark of some young Muslims nowadays. To them they are just following what the Qur'an and Sunnah prescribe. However, they only listen to the interpretation of the Ulama' they recognize. Who are they?

Please allow me to review the famous scholar’s, Dr. Yusuf Al-Qaradawi’s, book entitled "Islam Ekstreme Suatu Analisis & Cabaran Terhadap Kebangkitan Islam" translated by Darul Iman Publication based in Malaysia. This book explains the extremisms in the Islamic Ummah. In the early chapter, he listed some characteristics of an extremist. The writer would like to mention a summary of the characteristics of an extremist, which are as follows:

a. Fanatic to one opinion and rejects other opinions:

The obvious characteristic of an extremist is fanaticism; he does not recognize other opinions. This person sticks to his idea and is blind to the need of the society, time, and geographical location. He does not appreciate consultation and dialogue. He does not listen to anyone while claming that his basis is the most authentic. Finally, he suspects that other's opinion is selfish. The truth is he generally has a deviated opinion.

b. Insists on things that are not Wajib:

Instead of looking to ease things, he forces himself and others to do the things that are not obligated by Allah (saw).

God said:

"Allah intends for you ease, and He does want to makes things difficult for you". (Qur'an 2:185)

c. Makes things difficult:

There is no word of consideration and flexibility, and does not put the right things to the right place. Obviously this characteristic is leading Muslims to be uncomfortable.

d. Harsh in speech and with a hardened heart:

This person possesses the characteristic of hurtful term of communication and da'wah, which is against the guidance of God and His Messenger mentioned in the Qur'an 16:25.

God is allowing you to be hurtful only during war 9:123 and court session Qur'an 24:2.

e. Suspicious/ Pessimist:

This person is always watching your weaknesses and never gives attention to your positive side. And if ever you will not follow what they think are right, then you are blamed and neglected. Indeed they are against this ayat: “O you who believe! Avoid much suspicion; indeed suspicions are sins." (Qur'an 49:12)

f. Involving to the line of kuffar:

This is the highest level of extremism. This kind of a person accuses fellow Muslims as kafir or murtad. For them Muslims who are not following their belief are murtad.

Finally, it is just easy for him to destroy a person’s wealth and life.

Alhamdulillah, the last characteristic still not exist in the young Muslim today.

May Allah guide us!

Campus: Bridging the Diverse Culture

IIUM campus

Last week, together with some friends we visited the International Islamic University of Malaysia.

Aside from the beautiful landscapes and architectural design of the IIUM, as a visitor I was attracted to the relationship of the multi-ethnic students coming from the various muslim countries. I observed that theres no problem between the foreign students and the locals in terms of relationship and cultural differences. The hospitality of the Malays had made them closer to their foreign schoolmates. I witnessed their awesome camaraderie everywhere in the campus.

Not only the religion that binds their comradeship but also the humanity. You can witness the compassion of each students coming from different culture and nation in this campus. The struggle for knowledge is what brought them to this diverse community. Knowledge and understanding also strengthen their relationship.

We roamed around the campus for few hours as if we were not strangers. For sure no stranger walks in this diverse community. We are escorted by a Filipino friend who is teaching an English program in this academic institution.

The university canteen is serving native Malay delicacies. The atmosphere of the canteen is as if you are in the library. Only the noise of the fork and spoon are can be heard. Of course dating is strictly prohibited.

In the library our attention was caught to the Qur'an's translation to various languages in the world. How I wish someday Tausug translation is also available in the libraries and in the museums around the world. Although languages are different but the language of the Qur'an is one and what unites us as one Ummah.

People from different walks of life are studying Qur'an for one objective: to know God and His religion, and to appreciate other's culture and tradition is one way of serving The Almighty.

Students from all over the world are coming together to one campus, learning the anthem of the diverse culture. IIUM had contributed a lot to the world, to the countless Islamic civilization and also in other fields of knowledge. And for me the most important achievement of this institution was sustaining an atmosphere of a harmonious diverse culture campus.

Politics: An Integral Part of Islam

Please allow me to invite you to read an Islamic article from friend.

Politics: An Integral Part of Islam

Recently, Saudi Arabia's interior minister warned the pilgrims that they should not involve politics in Hajj. The current rulers in the Muslim lands are attempting to prevent Muslims from gathering and discussing issues and ideas which are pertinent to the future of the Ummah. Politics which is the act of "taking care of the affairs of the Ummah according to Shar'a rulings" is an integral part of Islam. We must take it upon ourselves to reclaim Islam and discuss the issues affecting the Muslim Ummah in all gatherings.

Prior to the commencement of Hajj, Saudi authorities were warning pilgrims not to stage any protests during the ritual. Saudi Arabia's interior minister Prince Nayef bin Abdul Aziz said, "It is not permitted to undertake any actions which are not part of the ritual... and we will not permit anyone to damage the hajj or the pilgrims."

Hajj is an amazing journey where Muslims have an opportunity to strengthen their relationship with Allah سبحانه وتعالى. It is also an event where Muslims from every corner of the earth gather together as one Ummah to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood. Today, the pilgrims are grouped according to the nation states they belong to. Furthermore, Muslims are not given an opportunity to bond with each other, by getting to know one another and discuss our condition as Allah سبحانه وتعالى has revealed:

إِنَّا خَلَقْنَاكُم مِّن ذَكَرٍ وَأُنثَى وَجَعَلْنَاكُمْ شُعُوبًا وَقَبَائِلَ لِتَعَارَفُوا

"We have created you of a male and a female, and made you tribes and families that you may know each other." [Al-Hujraat, 49:13]

Obstructing the Ummah: Hajj and Beyond

The discouragement of Muslims gathering and discussing the affairs of the Ummah is not only seen at the time of Hajj. Rather, this is a recurring theme throughout the Muslim world. Rulers regularly prevent Muslims from gathering and discussing issues and ideas which are pertinent to the future of the Ummah. Such preventions are usually enforced with great hostility and aggression:

• Palestine - In November 2007, 36-year-old Hisham Baradi died in a hospital after Palestinian police shot him in cold blood. According to reports, riot police and other security forces moved in on members of Hizb-ut-Tahrir as soon as they left masjids in the cities of Ramallah, Nablus and Hebron aiming to march in non-violent demonstrations planned against the treacherous Annapolis Conference attended by Abbas and other Arab rulers.

• Turkey - In July of this year, KöklüDeğişim Magazine organized a Khilafah conference in Istanbul. Two weeks prior to the conference, the organizers received permission from the Governor of Istanbul and notified him of the speakers along with a summary of their speeches. On the day of the conference - in the early morning - the Turkish police arrested (without any resistance) 200 speakers and attendees which led to the cancellation of the conference.

• Bangladesh - In September of this year, Muslims in Bangladesh organized a peaceful rally outside the national masjid after Jummah prayers calling for the re-establishment of the Khilafah and a unified Muslim Army. The rally, which was attended by several thousand Muslims was prevented by the police. Furthermore, they arrested 30 Muslim activists.

• Pakistan - In October of this year, 30 members of Hizb-ut-Tahrir were arrested in Islamabad while they were having a seminar in a residential home.

Islam: A Complete Way of Life

Islam is more than a mere set of rituals; rather it is a complete way of life. Islam does not confine the relationship between man and his Creator to his personal sphere. Instead, Islam properly recognizes that man needs guidance from Allah سبحانه وتعالى in all affairs, especially in the matters of siyasah (politics), which is "taking care of the affairs of the Ummah according to Shar'a rulings". As such, it is part of our Deen to be concerned with the affairs of our brothers and sisters across the world.

"The believers are nothing else than brothers. So make reconciliation between your brothers, and fear Allah, that you may receive mercy." [Al-Hujraat, 49:10]

The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "You will see the believers in their mutual kindness, love and sympathy just like one body. When a limb complains, the whole body responds to it with wakefulness and fever." [Muslim & Bukhari]

The ayah and hadith make it clear that it is part of our Deen to be concerned about the Ummah. Just as our hearts fill with joy when we see our brothers and sisters in their success, we are also overwhelmed with sadness and pain when we see their hardship and suffering. As a result, it is only natural that when we meet our fellow Muslims - be it at Hajj or after prayer at the masjid - that we discuss our problems and the solutions on how to resolve them.

Siyasah in the Gatherings of Muslims

When we look to the example of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم and the Sahabah (ra), we see that the Muslims gathered and engaged in siyasah (politics) be they in Hajj, or outside of Hajj.

In the Hujat-al-Wada sermon which occurred during the Prophet's صلى الله عليه وسلم Hajj, RasulAllah صلى الله عليه وسلم discussed many issues that concern the affairs of Muslims including the property of a Muslim, riba, the obligations of men towards women and the equality of all Muslims with the exception of their Taqwa.

The masjid itself (which today is known only as a place of Juma, Jamat, Qiyamul-Layl and maybe some Islamic education) used to be the center of all activities. During the time of RasulAllah صلى الله عليه وسلم it was a place to congregate and discuss the affairs of the Ummah. For example, the news of Zayd (ra), Jafar (ra) and Abdullah ibn Rawaha (ra) being martyred at the Battle of Mua'ta was relayed to the Muslims by the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم in the masjid while he was on the minbar.

After the death of RasulAllah صلى الله عليه وسلم and prior to burying his body - an action which Shar'a requires urgency - the Sahabah (ra) gathered, discussed and debated as to who should be the leader of all Muslims. It was after heated discussions that Abu Bakr (ra) was nominated as the Khaleefah. Only after the appointment of Abu Bakr (ra) was the body of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم buried.

During the Khilafat of Abu Bakr (ra) the tribes in the Arabian Peninsula apostatized and rebelled against the Islamic State. He then gathered the Sahabah (ra) in the masjid to discuss whether the Muslims should declare war on the apostates and rebels. When Umar (ra) was the Khaleefah, he used to meet the Wulaa (governors) during Hajj to discuss their activities and any issues of the Muslims in the region.

We can also see throughout the Islamic history stories of how the Ummah would not let any wrong pass by their eyes without correcting it even if it was the doing of a governor or the Khaleefah himself. Those in authority did not respond by imprisoning, suppressing or torturing these people rather they were quick to correct themselves as they understood the great responsibility and accountability they had before Allah سبحانه وتعالى.

When Umar (ra) was the Khaleefah, he received some cloth and distributed it equally amongst the Muslims by giving them one piece each. When he was on the minbar it was apparent that he was wearing 2 pieces of cloth. Immediately, Salman al-Farsi (ra) said, "By Allah, we will not hear you, because you prefer yourself to your people." At this point Abdullah ibn Umar (ra) explained that he gave his father his cloth. Salman al-Farsi (ra) responded by saying: "Now we shall hear you."

In another incident, Muawiya ibn Abi Sufyan who was a governor ordered a person to sell a silver utensil received from the spoils of war for payment to the soldiers who went out in battle. The news of (this state of affairs) reached Ubada bin Samit (ra) and he stood up and said, "I heard Allah's Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم forbidding the sale of gold by gold, and silver by silver, and wheat by wheat, and barley by barley, and dates by dates, and salt by salt, except like for like and equal for equal. So he who made an addition or who accepted an addition (committed the sin of taking) interest." So the people returned what they had received. This reached Mu'awiya and he stood up to deliver an address. He said, "What is the matter with people that they narrate from the Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم such tradition which we did not hear though we saw him and lived in his company?" Thereupon, Ubada bin Samit (ra) stood up and repeated that narration, and then said, "We will definitely narrate what we heard from Allah's Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم though it may be unpleasant to Mu'awiya. I do not mind if I do not remain in his troop in the dark night."

Seeking Solutions

The Ummah is seeking solutions to the problems that are currently plaguing it. The Muslims are growing tired of insincere rulers who would rather host a concert with scantily clad women than permit our Muslim sisters to wear the niqab at universities, as has happened in Egypt. It is fear that drives these despotic rulers to try their utmost to clamp down on any sincere gathering of Muslims working to free the Ummah of the problems that ail it. They are aware that they are sitting on borrowed thrones which do not rightfully belong to them, but rather belong to a sincere leader who will rule only by what Allah سبحانه وتعالى has revealed and fear no one but Him. It is only then that we can see this great Ummah return to the state that it was. Insha-Allah we will again see rulers who follow the method of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم and fulfil their covenant towards Allah سبحانه وتعالى and the Ummah.

With ample evidence that all of Islam was discussed and that there was no separation between the rituals and other aspects of Islam we must take it upon ourselves to reclaim Islam from the treacherous rulers. By obeying only the commands and prohibitions of Allah سبحانه وتعالى we must return Islam back to the norm by making Muslim gatherings such as Hajj, the masjid and even family gatherings an arena to discuss the current affairs of the Muslim Ummah.

May Allah سبحانه وتعالى replace the current rulers with one who will work with the Ummah to resolve our issues in a manner that is pleasing to Allah سبحانه وتعالى.

"The believers, men and women, are Auliya' of one another; they enjoin (on the people) Al-Ma‘ruf, and forbid (people) from Al-Munkar; they perform As-Salat, and give the Zakat, and obey Allah and His Messenger. Allah will have His Mercy on them. Surely Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise." [At-Tawba, 9:71]

Emotional Leader Should Retire

Every creation there is something special given to him by Almighty God. Every human being has his strength and weakness, so as the leader.

Prophet Muhammad (saw) encountered countless problems during his lifetime as a messenger and as a leader of Muslim ummah. Prophet had faced several challenges from the community. But Prophet never asked to God to curse them. In contrary the Prophet of Islam as "Rahmatan lil alamien' (mercy to all creations) prayed with wisdom for the guidance of his ummah.

Furthermore, the messenger of Islam prayed for the brighter future of Muslim as well as for the non-Muslim ummah. His emotion dominated by his noble mission as a messenger of God for humankind and all creations. No personal interest and no room for
emotional leadership as far as Islamic leadership is concern. The anger of the Most-Forgiveness God is dominated by His Mercy.

Muslim leader has the right to be respected by the ummah. However, the right of the people over the leader is accredited by God, as long as it is justifiable. This situation must be done in a proper process for justice and equality. The weakness of the leader must be aided by his fellow leaders and followers.

The respect of the ummah toward the leader is of course important, one and for all. Therefore, the cooperation among the ummah is wajib (obligatory). What happen if the Muslim leaders are disrespecting their fellow Muslim leaders? How the Muslim leaders can gain reputation from the ummah?

Leader is who lead by example. What if the emotion will lead the heart of the leader? Absolutely no good example will be manifested. I guess the emotional leader shall be retired.

If our leaders' wishes to give the needs of ummah then let them fix first there own selves. The understanding and unity among leaders are highly demanded. Unless if they are hiding their own agenda, aside from God's interest.

Tracing back the history Islam, the political interest and fitnah which divided the ummah. Except the period of the Madina State there were no partisan existed. Muslims were prioritized the prime objective of Islam and rejected the selfish interest. The hundred year’s war between Khaus and Kharaj are reconciled. And Muhajirin and Ansar solidly protected the interest of the ummah. No way to partisan and no way to personal interest.

The Madina State established the Khairul ummah (ideal community).

To my mind, the best example of Khairah Ummah was the community of Medina during the time of Prophet Muhammad. It was a State wherein different religions harmoniously co-existed by virtue of respect of other’s faith and bounded by the same social contract to serve and love the neighbour. In his last sermon the prophet said. (Alkhaulan Hashim,kalimayahan.blogspot.com)

Lets us call the attention of Muslim leaders in the world to unite under the banner of La ila Ha Illa Allah. Only Him alone who gives you the everlasting success, and the victory over the infidels. No party is recognize by God except the army of God who destroying all munkar and calling for ma'ruf.

The enemy of Islam (peace and justice) happy to witness the Muslim leaders disuniting among themselves. Only Him alone who leading us, not the emotion and evil! So please come together, let us pray for the safety and guidance of our Muslim leaders in the world. And do not wait the non-Muslim to reconcile us!

Who are the Real Terrorist?

The Question Remains Relevent: Who Are The Real Terrorists?

By: Warina Jukuy (Tausugnet.com)

Indeed, when Muslims retaliate in an act of defense they label it as terrorism by Islam and/or Muslims or "scoff" at it as a pejorative JIHAD. However, when peoples of other faiths commit heinous crimes on Muslims, they invoke either justifying or exempting circumstances by virtue of self defense or as an act of defense against sovereignty which justifies the State to compel every citizen to defend it.

We all know what happened in Palestine, Iraq, Chechnya or in Bosnia but despite overt or even flagrant manifestations of oppression, persecution, and genocide upon Muslims and other faiths--- it will NEVER compel the international community to mobilize GLOBALLY against ORTHODOX CATHOLICS just as they are wont to do in either unilateral or otherwise concerted effort to mobilize globally in their so-called FIGHT AGAINST (ISLAM_MUSLIMS) TERRORISM. Thus, I resonate my virtual rhetorical question: Who are the REAL TERRORISTS?

Allaah The Exalted said:

"The believers are indeed brothers [in Islâmic religion]." (Al-Hujuraat: 10)

And He The Most Mighty, The Most Majestic said:

"The believers, men and women, are Auliyâ' (helpers, supporters, friends, protectors) of one another…" (At-Tawba : 71).

And The Prophet (sallahAllaahu alayhi wasallam) said :

"The believer to another believer is like the structure [like a wall] ; each part strengthens the other,' and then he co-enjoined his fingers." (Agreed upon)
And he (may Allaah's blessings and good mention be upon him) also said:

"The example of the believers in their relationship, and their love, and their having mercy upon each other ; is like the example of one body part to the rest of the body; if one part is affected then the whole body complains of fever and pain." (Agreed upon)

And he (may Allaah's blessings and good mention be upon him) also said:

"The Muslim is the brother of another Muslim; he does not oppress him, nor does he deceive him, nor does he give him up to the enemy, nor does he look down on him." (Narrated by Muslim).

And help comprises of many things –according to the ability, and depending on the situations – whether it is intellectually or physical [things], or whether it is from the general Muslims through wealth, and food, and medicine, and clothing, and other things. Or whether it is from the Islamic Arab nations through making it easy and possible that the aid reaches them, and by taking a sincere position in regards to their [the Palestinian Muslims] matter, and by supporting their case in the gatherings, and seminars, and the international conferences: And all of these are from the ways of co-operation upon good and piety – which is something that is ordered- in the statement of The Exalted :

"Help you one another in virtue, righteousness and piety…" (Al-Maaida : 2)
